Specialist Metal Laser Cutting Services
In-House Cutting Capability
CNC Plasma – Fast, Accurate, No Delays
We cut mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium in-house using our CNC plasma cutting table. With a bed size of 1250 x 2500mm, we can handle standard sheets quickly and cleanly — up to 25mm thick (15mm pierce). Supply your own drawings or let us create them — no waiting around for outsourced parts.

Sheet Metal Cutting
What is plasma cutting?
Plasma cutting is a high-precision method used to cut through electrically conductive materials, including mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium. A plasma torch creates an electrically charged gas (plasma) that reaches temperatures of over 30,000°C. This plasma jet melts the material, which is then blown away by a high-speed stream of air or gas. Plasma cutting is highly effective for cutting thick materials quickly and accurately, and it’s ideal for parts that need to be cut from sheet metal or plate.
Options Beyond Plasma
Precision Laser Cutting Available
For parts that need finer tolerances or cleaner edges than plasma can offer, we work closely with trusted local laser cutting partners. We’ll manage the process and ensure you get exactly what your job needs — without delays or complications.
Advantages
Why choose plasma cutting?
Plasma Cutting has many advantages that make it the perfect choice for your sheet metal needs.
Precision
Plasma cutting uses a high-velocity jet of ionized gas (plasma) to cut through metal with impressive speed and precision. While the tolerance is generally wider than laser cutting, modern plasma systems can still achieve accurate cuts with consistent results. This makes plasma cutting a reliable method for many industrial applications, especially when working with thicker materials.
Less Wastage
Plasma cutting is controlled by CNC (Computer Numerical Control), ensuring that each part is cut identically and with high repeatability. This allows us to maximize material usage and minimize waste. By optimizing cutting paths, we reduce the amount of scrap material, which helps lower overall costs and improves efficiency for both small and large runs.
Flexibility
Plasma cutting offers excellent versatility when it comes to cutting different shapes and sizes. The system can handle various thicknesses of materials such as mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium without requiring significant tool changes. This allows for flexibility in cutting multiple parts simultaneously, as long as the material thickness is consistent.
Speed and Efficiency
Plasma cutting is known for its speed and efficiency, especially when cutting through thicker materials. The high-velocity plasma jet quickly melts the material, reducing cutting times and increasing throughput. This makes plasma cutting a cost-effective choice for larger production runs and urgent projects, helping you meet tight deadlines without compromising on quality.

Why use a fiber laser cutter?
Fiber laser cutting machines are powerful and extremely precise; they can cut up to 5 times faster than a standard CO2 laser. They can also cut through reflective materials such as brass and copper without worrying whether the reflection will damage the machine.
How accurate is laser cutting?
Laser cutting is a precise machine cutting method; it is the easiest, fastest and most efficient way to cut any material. Laser cutting is controlled by computers which results in cuts with very low tolerances.
What is suitable to be laser cut?
Our laser cutter is versatile and can cut different types of metal, including Steel, Mild Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminium, Brass and Copper.
We can also cut a range of parts from tiny pieces measuring only a few centimetres right up to large pieces that have been made into large tanks and hoppers. We are also able to cut intricate patterns and details out.
